QUESTIONS!!
Hey Mr. Lamoraeux! Just a quick question....so today I was trying to experiment with the assignment you gave us...and it wasnt workin out too good...I was on campus, trying to capture the whole 'people in motion' concept....I truned the shutter speed to something like 1/10-1/5 of a second...and turned down the exposure so I could counter the amount of light coming in from the long shutter speed. However, when I focused and shot, massive amounts of light still came in, and the picture came out white. I feel like this is a really silly problem, especially this far along in the class, but could ya help me all the same??

I had the same problem; I second that question!
ReplyDeleteYou could use low ISO settings and also adjust the aperture higher (less exposure , but narrower depth of field however). Also, the less natural light available in the scene is best for slow shutter speeds - especially when shooting 5-30 second exposures.

ReplyDeleteI know that some of your cameras won't allow you to have the kind of control I was asking for. We will talk about it.
I actually played around with it a bit, and I should be able to get some good motion shots tomorow morning....can't wait for class!
